Carbmee had two major issues with their website that were preventing them from achieving their goal of promoting sustainability. Firstly, their Content Management System (CMS) was not dynamic, which meant that even the slightest updates required developer intervention. This made content management inefficient and hindered scalability. Secondly, the website's performance was poor, with slow loading times that negatively impacted user experience and engagement.
Solution
We suggested a comprehensive solution to revamp Carbmee's website, which focused on enhancing the website's backend flexibility and the user experience on the front-end. Our proposal included the following key elements:
Migration to Prismic Headless CMS: We recommended moving to Prismic Headless CMS, which is a powerful and user-friendly platform that would allow the Carbmee team to manage content dynamically without needing constant involvement from developers.
Utilizing Slice Machine: We recommended using Slice Machine, which is a tool that makes it easy to create page templates. This would empower the Carbmee team to efficiently manage and update their website.
Adopting Next.js for the Frontend: By leveraging Next.js, we ensured that the website was not only responsive but also optimized for speed, which would improve search engine optimization (SEO) and user engagement.
Incorporating GSAP for Custom Animations: To capture the attention of the audience and enhance the visual appeal of the website, we implemented custom animations using GSAP, which were tailored to Carbmee's branding and user interaction goals.
